This Victorian beauty is located on Chicago Avenue in Oak Park and dates from the late 1880s. Its owners are seeking to upgrade and expand their home with a new rear yard addition.

Rather than attempt to extend the home’s complicated roofline into the back yard, the addition takes the form of a stripped down, two-story box.

Currently in design development, one material option is corrugated metal panels with a galvanized finish.
